Other Applied Technologies
ITSシンポジウムは、ITS （Intelligent Transport Systems）の要素技術に関わる土木・機械・電気・情報といった工学領域にとどまらず、人間工学や医学、法学、経済学などの社会科学分野をも融合した分野横断的な情報交換の場として2002年より毎年開催、産学官の最先端のITS技術開発を紹介するとともに、若手研究者・技術者や学生の人材育成を目的としている。2013年は日本でITS世界会議が開催されたことから休会としたが、2014年に第12回として再始動し、東北地域で初めて開催となる。環境に配慮し、快適で安全・安心な社会、レジリエントなまちづくりに貢献するITSへと議論の輪を広げる。
